Mikey Football

Fall 2014

We were a little nervous about it, but we took the leap and let Mikey play tackle football this year...and it was SO GREAT! It was a lot of work, but he was on the best team with the best coaches and the best boys. And aside from having fun, I feel like Mikey learned so much about dedication, hard work and time management. They actually didn't win any games! (It was a young team, with mostly all football newbies) But they all had the best attitude the whole season! We were so proud of Mikey and the whole team. Way to go boys!

We all loved supporting Mikey. 

This is Joey cuddling up to grandma...Leo's grandma! That's right. Joey just climbed up onto this nice lady's lap. She was nice enough to indulge him. She is the grandma of one of Mikey's teammates. That Joe. Never a dull moment ;)

The Farm!

One fine day this Fall the kids didn't have school and it was gorgeous! So off we went to the farm. They loved it. Of course :)

                                               Cuz who doesn't love feeding goats?

Or riding little weird oil-drum-turned-into-an-animal train thing? ;)

Luke Football, Joey Soccer

This Fall Joey played soccer and Luke played football. Both completely loved it by the end of the season, but it took a little encouragement at first. The following is also a prime example of my inconsistency of picture taking. Joey had a few more pictures than Luke....oops. There are two clear explanations for this. First, it was Joey's first time playing a sport! So it was extra cute ;) Second, I was just so into the excitement of Luke's games that I forgot to take more pictures!! ;)

Luke's first tooth

After much anguish about all his friends losing teeth for the last year, Luke finally lost his first tooth  on Sept 17, 2014. Wa hoo!! :)

First Day of School

Joey started his second year of pre-school the next week. Elise wanted to be a part of the first-day photo shoot. How can I say no to that cute little face straight out of bed. 

These two kill me. They are such cute little buddies :)

 Always bitter-sweet sending them off to school. I need them to stop growing! (But it is nice to be able to run some errands and get a few things done in the house :)
