Our first broken bone. On Mother's Day, no less. No surprise it was Joey ;) Although, it wasn't any big thing. He was just playing with his brothers and cousin and fell down. He started bawling and just didn't stop. He cries often over things, but always for only a minute. After a half an hour, we figured something was wrong! He is a trooper, though. The walking boot slowed him down for about half a day. Then he was off and running like always.
One important distinction, though. When asked if he broke his foot, he would very adamantly answer all inquiries with "No, I broke A BONE in my foot." He did not break his foot. Just a bone in it ;)
It might have worn him out a little more than usual. He left us to go change. This was how we found him awhile later :) Naked as the day he was born, except for the boot.
The morning after the incident was his school program. They so kindly brought a chair out for him.
He wasn't quite used to the boot, but he couldn't resist the dancing so it helped him actually try to use it.
We love our Joey! :)
